Motorhome service points basically come in two varieties. The following videos show 2 fairly typical examples...
Purpose built, of which there are many makes but most work in similar ways. Some charge for water and/or electricity if they have it.
Leaking kitchen or bathroom mixer tap? One of the most common taps fitted in motorhomes is the Reich Kama.
A short video showing how easy it is to dismantle and replace parts of a Reich Kama mixer tap (depending on the access available).
Installing a Fiamma Turbo Vent
By - Spinner
We have had a Fiamma Turbo Vent in our fourteen year old motorhome ever since we purchased it twelve years ago and find that during those very hot days it really does keep the van cool. We also have air-conditioning fitted which we rarely use as we are not fans (no pun intended) of AC, much prefer to open the windows. However, in the last year or so the control switch of the Turbo Vent was playing up, the plastic had discoloured and there were signs of stress cracks on the corners so it was decided to replace it.
The old Turbo Vent showing signs of age
Fiamma make several models of Turbo Vent and the one we chose was the Premium version with touch controls and crystal dome. We chose this model as there was little difference in price and the crystal dome would give extra light..
Glad you found the post useful. As you probably know the blue control is the temperature and the green is the speed. I would imagine it kept going because it hadn't reached the temp setting.
Hi! Great review! Bought the same model (touch controls) and installed it tonight, but can't make sense of the polar control feature. How do you use it and what does it do? I left it running for an hour with polar control on the lowest setting, but nothing happened...
Search the internet and you'll find a common problem with the Fiat Ducato 2.8JTD engine - loss of power when the injector warning light comes on and occasional overreving between upward gearchanges.
You'll also find lots of opinions as what causes the problem and how to fix it.
I suffered this problem for a couple of years and many thousands of miles before I fixed it properly....
NEILMAC, Has this problem re occurred since this post. Mine keeps coming back, usually just as you think it's permanently fixed...
Hi guys I had this problem approx 5 years ago on my Hymer Classic Fiat Ducato 14 2.8 JTD deisel engine on a 2002 reg. At that time I took it to a garage across from the old Brownhills unit in Preston who fixed the problem with the wiring from the ECU and throttle unit. Just returned from South Wales......
I'll remember this one just in case even though my MH is a 2.3 Ducato....
