We're not new to camping as I've been into camping all my life - Dad and Mum took us to Italy and France in the '60s - and when our kids were small we've had a trailer tent, when we organised the whole village to come camping together, including the landlord with his big BBQ!. Then we've had boats on the Broads (we live on the east coast of Norfolk, close by), and now we can remodel our lifestyles, now they've flown the nest.
We have a holiday home in the Austrian lakes region (Salzkammergut), which is let out, weekly, for skiing now, and for summer hiking holidays in the summer. In 2019 we plan to base ourselves there for trips around Italy (via Tuscany/Umbria where my brother lives), down Croatia to Greece, eastwards too, and down to the south Iberian Med coast, whilst we rent out our home, which we will redecorate this winter. All change!
Our 'Gosau Apartment' holiday home is available to rent. It sleeps 2 and is located in a health spa hotel with wonderful facilities there, plus a lake and cable car, close to Hallstatt.
Let's see what comes up here! We've been following that Finnish couple, 'Vantastic' on YouTube, and are inspired by what they have done and by their commentary and brilliant photography. They are very keen Boondockers. We look forward to finding many and participating here!
