My personal choice, I leave the "truck" on charge as we are lucky enough to have a drive large enough to accommodate the vehicle. I do agree with you though Tom1 talking to acquaintances the leisure battery appears to fail before the main vehicle battery as ours did on a 4 year old Motorhome, I wonder if this is because leisure batteries may be in storage considerably longer than "starter Batteries".   More ...

GEL, AGM, wet - they all need different charging regime and if on wrong one will never charge properly. Charger needs to be capable for the size of battery bank and solar needs to be set for the type too.

Having said all that if the batteries are considered end of life at 2 years and the guarantee is 3, then they should be replaced under that guarantee.

The only batteries I have ever had that have failed have been specific lesiure batteries.
I have never had a problem with car or truck batteries.
To me the word 'lesuire' is just an excuse to double the price, same as 'marine' is with boat stuff.
Just avoid lithium batteries all of you please!!

Look at all the electric cars on fire and burned out on the internet. The lithium fires can't be put out and it has to burn the vehicle to the ground.
Also I read somewhere that the way of charging is different in someway (I can't remember the exact details on this Sunday morning) So to get the best life out of a lithium battery you need to modify the vehicle too.
Not really what I want in my motorhome simply because of the fire risk.
