eurosprinter commented on this post about 3 years agoGetting on well with lockdown van revamp,but a couple of weeks I began to ponder how van life wil be during and post this pandemic.I came to conclusion that things in the future will have to change,so decided to build a totally off grid set up,I'm not much of one for campsite,preferring Aires and out of the way stopovers,so now I've added extra water tanks bringing capacity up to260 litres,upped the solar to 300 watts with enhanced controls and battery capacity,and bigger pantry!Along with a few other tweaks I reckon I can stay off grid for many weeks at a time,adding an occasional fuel and food shop.As soon as we are able to travel I will be putting my theories to the test,and find out if totally Mad!Comments (4)

Sounds like a good idea. Time to lift the stupid lockdown and get on with normal life - what ever that is! -
Personally,I believe that the lockdown measures were imposed too late,but apparently "that's a question for later" but it's rather affected my plansPersonally,I believe that the lockdown measures were imposed too late,but apparently "that's a question for later" but it's rather affected my plans for the future,I had an offer accepted for a property in Pas de Calais,but the vendor withdrew as he wanted to move his family out of Paris to what his parents home.Once the borders open I can visit my family in Italy and Spain and get my plans back on track,I'd intended to sell this van but now the rebuild has worked out ok I'll use it for now,with the capacity to isolate myself wherever I go More ...
