Good question and something that will get a proper guide or explanation on the site in due course..

But basically points are achieved by users' activity on the site so the more you do - register on the site, read articles, achieve badges, like or comment on photos etc, read blog posts, post forum topics and so on.... the more points you earn.

It's a bit of fun really and is there to encourage those that wish to do more on the website.

You, for example, have got points so far for registering on the site, achieving a 'newbie' badge for doing so. also for reading some articles and blog posts and for posting this forum topic.

You could then go on to upload a profile picture and a cover photo. Perhaps upload some other photos, like comments you read or others' photos. Maybe review/comment on some stopovers or even submit some stopover locations etc etc.

In short anything you do on this site will earn you points (and badges)
