If you'd like to personalise your profile and any postings/replies you make on the forums why not upload an avatar? All registered users can take advantage of this feature and its easy 
Go to your profile and hover over the link to 'Edit', select 'Update Your Image'. Then either select an image from your computer and upload it or, choose one of the ready made images and confirm your choice.
