I'm looking to buy a decent Camera for my blogs - nothing too fancy or technical but require good quality. I want to pay no more than £200.

Any recommendations much appreciated before I spend my hard earned cash.

Chris
Hi Chris, Techno's mention of the Lumix is a good start but there are a bewildering amount of cameras around for that sort of price.

I'm used to using a DSLR Canon and I've got used to having a good lens with image stabilisation which makes for much clearer photos taking away any effect of camera shake, especially when zooming in on something.

However, caromac recently bought a Nikon Coolpix compact camera which is really good and very handy to carry around but lacks this feature which I think is now a must, especially for a point-and-shoot camera.

Using Google I found that there is a compact Canon in your price range - Canon PowerShot SX230 HS (I'm sure there will be others too). There's a review of it here.

There's one available here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-PowerShot-SX230-optical-black/dp/B004MKNBRI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338623131&sr=8-1 for £202.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for replies. I can see I'll have to do some research when I get home and will definitely look at your recommendations.

I have now changed my mind (a woman's prerogative I think) and I am now looking at getting a DSLR - possibly the NIKON D5100.

Anyone got any advice/opinions on this particular model?
