:angry: hi all. on our winter trip down to spain we noticed NEW toll booths being constructed where they are widening the( N10 NEAR LABOUHEYRE. France )yet again the Europeans are squeezing more money from us charging for using there m/ways making it more expensive to tour . being retired we are not in a hurry BUT from time to time we like to use there m/ways so next time we will pull off the D834 & head for the somport tunnel .so lets abolish the road tax & do like the Europeans do just charge EVERYONE for using our m/ways that's fair isn't it ? . William
French charge silly money to use their tunnels for motorhomes so let's do the same to them !

hi all. i can remember 8 plus years back reading an article that the frence was going to change the tolls for m/h's into car rates as they bring LOTS of money in there country WHAT happen to that .if you Cris's cross the toll roads you will see most of them are near empty & the N/D roads are full now where is the sense in that . to me the best idea would be drop the tolls to half & it would relieve the D roads hence the m/ways would treble up or more income anyone got a better idea . William

These big road projects are done by 'public private partnership' and the private wants a return on investment. In the UK we already have the M6-toll and now HM gov't is dropping broad hints that the A14 linear car-park will be 'relieved' by a toll road.

By the way, 'road tax' was stopped sometime in the 1930s. Nowadays your tax disc money just goes into the general Treasury pot like the duty on booze and fags.

hi . all we want is fair play people delivering or holidaying driving on our roads for free from abroad & we have to pay in there country is NOT fair WE are subsidizing there trips . William
