We are off to the Lake District next week and just wondered if anyone out there has any advice on towns that have motorhome friendly/unfriendly parking in that area?

Try Millers field at Ambleside, it is a motorhome aire very near the town. We are away at the moment but will find details and post them for you when we get home. We have not stopped there yet but called round to check it out last time we were there, I think it was £10 a night and had water and a dump for grey water and toilet.
