My 1992 Murvi is in need of being reupholstered. The cushions themselves are okay, but when I tried to clean them using a generic store-brand foam cleaning product, I ended up tearing some of the material. The wool turned to paper and just ripped open!
So I'm looking for a trustworthy, and moreso, non-expensive place to take the old cushions and get them re-done.
Any comments welcome.

A few years back we were looking for someone to make up a new mattress for us, as the original Rapido one was uncomfortable, even with a sheet of memory foam on top.
Travelling back from visiting family up north we tried a couple of the firms that advertise in the magazines. We were not impressed by either their attitude or their prices!
Then we dropped into the Caravan and Boat Seat Cover centre in Bristol. They were brilliant – bringing sheets of foam for us to lie on in the showroom until we found a combination that felt right. There was no rush, a couple of assistants spent half the afternoon with us. Then they helped us to choose some material to cover the new mattress.
They rang us to say when the multilayer mattress was ready and freighted it to us on the day we wanted – which arrived wrapped in a very heavy polythene sheet (which is still coming in handy)!
Great service, excellent product (still in use and good as new) and reasonable prices – highly recommended. They will even refund your nights pitch fee at a local campsite if you place an order more than £150 - can’t get fairer than that!
