We found the campsite at Ametla in Spain quite by accident. There are 2 in the town and the first Marina campsite just didn't quite feel like 'us' as we had a look around. So we used Alan Rogers to help us locate the other, which seemed a bit off the beaten track. So glad we did. The campsite itself was nothing special, the pitches weren't great but the sanitation was good, the shops and facilities great. The pools were fab and the entertainment was absolutely excellent (& as an ex Redcoat I am very hard to please). We returned a year later for another short stop over and the Motorhome pitches had been upgraded and are now fantastic. So a huge thumbs up all round. It has it's own little beach and the town is supposed to have a lovely front but we've never yet moved off site. We will always call in for a couple of nights if we are in that region of Spain. It is a great place to spend a few relaxing days.
