Hello

One way of getting the most out of your motorhome is to visit some of the fantastic places in the UK, especially our coastline. If you link these up with a Club Motorhome stopover you can have a great day or weekend away without breaking the bank!

Hive beach at Burton Bradstock, Dorset is one of those places.

This bit of coastline is managed by the National Trust and the large grass area is free to park for NT members. You can’t overnight. However, get there early and stay until sundown for that perfect day. You can walk the beach all the way to the Chesil bank. In addition, the Hive beach café is perfect for fish & chips, crab sandwiches or even a full blown fish platter.

Thanks for this Spinner. We used to use our van for day trips when I was working, and your post is a nice reminder of some great days we had. Now that we can add pub stops into the equation it means a very reasonably priced couple of days away and for us, not only at weekends. We liked to drive down to Teignmouth, or up to the Kennet and Avon Canal, time we did it again, sometimes a couple of days away feels like a week when you get home again. Thanks again. Pete
