Been thinking of down plating my van so my wife could take over if I fell I'll ect so went and got it weighed Sat, plated at 3850Kg,
List- me, tank of fuel, two aluminium reclining chairs, tool box not heavy just bits you may need, 8 items of clothing shirts jeans two rain jackets, fold up bike 24kg, wife's mobility scooter 20kg, portable sat dish, 30ltrs fresh water, 4x 2ltr bottles cider def needed, cadak safari chef, small fishing bag 5kg, 120w solar panel on roof, cooking pots,pans,cutlery ect, 2 small outside fold up tables, 2 milenco large leveler's, 1wastemaster tank, plastic watering can.
Thats about it, weighed in at 3540Kg. OK for me but the van was originally 3500Kg so couldn't take the wife lol.
Seriously tho downplaying is a no no but how many are driving overweight a hell of a lot I bet.
It shocked me but so glad I've done it.
