We've just booked the Pickering War Weekend for this year plus a one-day rover ticket from Pickering to Whitby for the Saturday.

Looks good fun - very well attended last year War weekend

Just need the weather!!

If anyone has been - any recommendations as to what to look out for :roll:
or avoid :S

I know I am replying to myself! But we had a brilliant time at the NYMR War Weekend.

We stayed at the show ground at Pickering Fri-Mon. It was the first time we'd attended a WW2 re-enactment & military parade plus a trip on the North Yorks Moor Railway to Whitby.

There were hundreds of folk in different uniforms plus others wearing 1940's clothes. Great atmosphere - will definitely do it again next year.

We didn't 'dress up' but managed to get a stars/stripes scarf around the dog.

Glad you had a good time - Archie looks like he was enjoying it

Strange that last year this event got a bit of interest on here but not so much this year - I wonder if any other members went?
