Having used Vets in France for the last 5 years for our Border Terrier and paid prices of between 38 & 42euros. We stayed at the Aire at La Mailleraye sur Seine on Sunday, visited the vets 100m up the road on Monday am and were charged a mere 15euros for administering the worming tablet & stamping the passport plus checking his temp, teeth & heart.

This wasn't a fluke as the Brits in front of me paid the same for their Westie and there is a notice on the window stating "English Consultation 15euro".

I didn't make an appointment but did pop in at 9am when they opened to make sure they could fit us in & was told to return at 10.15am. The vet apparently works at another surgery at the next town and comes over when required so it may be prudent to ring.

Chris
Thanks for that Chris, we'll make a note to stay there in future (its a great location for the night too ). We paid 29 on this trip before reaching Roscoff so you got a good result

Same experience here. We turned up at that vet at 3pm when they reopened after lunch, and had to wait all of half an hour to be seen on spec. In the past, we've been charged well over €40 each time. This time? €25 - I think they charge by the kilo
