HI. Wanted to recommend "shield total insurance" for anyone who wants to use there van for work and pleasure.
we have Just bought a van to do a self build conversion and went to get insurance. I needed insurance to cover myself and my wife to use the van for our self employed work which would mean we travel to different places of work through out the week. Most wouldn't insure us then quotes for £1400!!! & £1200 ouch, we couldn't afford that.
looked at various camper forums and shield were recommended for being very flexible/helpful. They chatted to the underwriters who said it was ok and gave us a price of £200 fully comp and 4 months to complete conversion to a certain standard. I am a happy. hope this helps someone.
