Just phoned pickering showground about booking for war weekend camping .They say you can pay on gate when you arrive £35 thursday to monday.Arrive before 10pm.Saturday night there is a dance in the showground pavilion £10 each
hi, is this a regular yearly event ? never heard of it before. interested if its on for 2012.

According to Google results its an annual event Tom, There's a B&B website I found that has some info on it and loads of photos

Never been to the Pickering war weekend but have been to one at the other end of the country ie Twinwoods Glen Miller weekend in bedfordshire end of August. No railway but a fantastic weekend for music lovers and notagia checkout their website!

Most of the regulars who like to dress up for the weekend also go to the Seven Valley Railway 40s weekend. 40s Weekend SVR There are two weekends to choose from 23/24th/06 and 30th 06 /01st 07
It is a bit closer for those who live central or south of England. We will probably go as we had good weather and friendly company last year.
