I'm sure most folks are aware that the LEZ came into force on the 3rd of January this year. Contravening its rules could be a very costly business (the daily fines are horrendous and if, for example, you wandered into the zone at 11.30pm one night and out again at 1.00AM you'd have to cough up for 2 whole days!) so here are a couple of links that may help you find out if you are affected.

The following link describes the types of vehicles that are affected.

And to be sure about the situation regarding your own vehicle, you can check whether it is compliant by its registration number.

Just as an aside and to show what a farce (income generation scheme?) this is, our own 2002 Swift Bel-Air 730 complies if it is incorrectly classed as PLG (under 3.5 tons) or downplated to such - which is possible with its generous payload. However at its correct taxation rating of PHGV (3.85 tons) it does not - SAME VEHICLE AND SAME EMISSIONS
