Hi all!

just purchased out first coach built motorhome, a Swift Carrera 530lp, after having dipped our toes in to the world of camping with a VW T4 day van. We loved it and took to it a lot quicker than we thought and so after only a year we decided to go for it! We wanted something slightly bigger (that we could stand up in - the T4 was not a pop top) and with a bit more of a living area. We also wanted to be more self sufficient so we didn't have to be quite so picky with the facilities that are around (e.g a bathroom!) as we have taken the van on all sorts of adventures this year including Holland, The Lake District, Scotland plus lots of small overnighters at motor racing events. Excited for more adventures to come!!

Hi and :welcome3:

Hopefully the site will inspire you with loads of options of places to stay, The site concentrates on stopovers rather than campsites and there is plenty of choice both home and abroad.

Enjoy your travels and the comfort of your new 'home'.

Hi Folks, I would second Caromac's comments and add the more you use the opportunities that are available especially on the continent the less likely you will choose a campsite.....its all about freedom to come and go as you please.
:welcome4: to the wonderful world of motorhoming

Hello and welcome

Just like to add that motorhoming is about the journey as well as the destination!

Spinner has a strong point as our journeys in Europe are often not designed to head for a specific destination but to enjoy the travel and places visited. Just booked eurotunnel for September and planning a route through France into Spain and back- but I don't think we have ever followed a plan in the past!! Too many distractions on route!! Enjoy you new MH and let us know how you get on

Ah thanks everyone!! yeah what you are all saying is the spirit of what we are wanting to do more; definitely to come and go as you please!! looking forward to being able to make just as much of a trip of the journey itself as opposed to just the destination!! :woohoo:
