At last we do not need to carry a breath test kit when travelling in France.
The outgoing slap of Nicholas Sarkozy in 2012 was to introduce this law having been advised by one of his mates who manufactured them.
There have been no fines for this for some time and I have to admit I have never carried one.
When we get travelling again it will be interesting to see if the ferry/tunnel shops still keep trying to unload their stock.
This, in no way changes the drink drive limit in France; so that last party night with your mates could still catch you out next morning when you set off.
