Our refillable gas system Our motorhome has 2 separate gas lockers, one on each side of the vehicle. This makes it more complicated to fit a legally conforming (in the UK) refillable system. Apparently UK gas regs only allow a maximum of 1.5m high pressure pipe run outside of a sealed and vented gas locker - not far enough to run between our cylinder locations. So Gaslow/Gasit systems are not an option other than for individually refillable cylinders. these have to be out of the vehicle and standing on a forecourt to refill. Another manufacturer/retailer in the UK is Safefill with their branded composite cylinders but again they apparently have to be out of the van to fill. I also understand that they do not advise a permanent fix with an external filler point. So for us with a Spanish registered motorhome and spending most of our time outside the UK anyway, we explored what was available in Europe to avoid the requirement to fit in with the UK gas regs. The system we settled on is marketed by Susocar and the cylinders are actually made by the same company as the Safefill ones - HPC Research Ltd in Czech Republic. Susocar labelled composite bottle

Michelin Tyre Pressure Checker review We review Michelin's Tyre Pressure Checker Advertised Features The Michelin Pressure Checker is a quick, convenient and cost-effective way to keep on top of tyre pressures on almost any type of light vehicle with a tyre valve fitted. On a typical vehicle, it enables checking all four pressures accurately within seconds, and without needing to connect a pressure gauge to the valve, which is a grubby job and allows air to escape from the tyre. Designed to be universal, it can be used on everything from bicycles, mopeds, scooters, motorbikes, cars, 4x4s, vans, minibuses, motorhomes and light-duty trailers , caravans and horsebox trailers. Current price: (August 2020) £39.95 - Available from Fit2Go TPMS Ltd 10% DISCOUNT available to full members of Club Motorhome! Contact me (NEILMAC) for the discount code at
