This must be a really noobie question, but why have some MHs (usually with bikes) have an approx 60cm (2 ft) square diagonal-striped panel on the rear?
Yes, I can guess that it some kind of hazard warning that presumably is required in some countries? Which ones? and what's it called? And in what circumstances must it be used?

Simple really ,because its the law abroad ,in fact I think that Spain insists on the square being metal ,not plastic.
Does it alert drivers behind ,when I see a b----dy great truck coming up behind me like to think they can see the warning sign.
