.. after a very long day I've managed to get the Club Motorhome website up and running again - the only snag is that the most recent backup that could be recovered was about 36 hours old

This means that any forum posts from yesterday and this morning are no longer with us.
The downtime was due to an error (mine) while upgrading this forum software and it did look at one time that the last 3 years work had gone down the pan!
So whilst I'm delighted and very relieved to be back online I do sincerely apologise to any of you who posted during this time and now find your recent posts are missing.

Having the backup was one thing, but having it in a place that's accessible when it all goes wrong is another :woohoo:
Anyway There is now an auto backup scheduled every morning (early hours) - I even got up at 04.00 this morning to check it was running!
And, it is accessible OUTSIDE of the website environment :thumbs: :thumbs:
