The farmers and gardeners love me at least ... torrential rain and thunderstorms after having no rain for over 6 weeks in North Norfolk :o

The poor old Snail thought it was all too much and sprung a leak, think it is coming through where the Fiamma awning is attached ... It ran into the wardrobe and over the sliding door ... so wet clothes and seats on one side and a wet dog and drowned rat (me) on the other ... After 4 days plus of rain both Max and I were not fit to be seen, but the sun came out on Saturday for a while and helped dry some of the towels and clothes out.

To cheer Max up I bought him a Water Buffalo burger from Creake Abbey farm shop and then took a walk around the Abbey ruins, Dogs were allowed as no one was about and no signs saying keep out

Booked a site to try and dry a few things out on Monday ... was rewarded by the sun shinning for a few hours ... Tuesday was a good day so took Max for a walk on Brancaster beach ... unfortunately he went a bit mad and his leg was giving him some discomfort ...

We came home tonight (Wednesday) .... I can honestly say I have never seen a dog so pleased to be home before ... he has inspected every nook and cranny and keep rolling over and over on his big bean bag bed...

It was a break and I loved driving old Snail ... even if the new Garmin satnav did send me up a couple of bus lanes and then tried to make me go the wrong way up a one way system ... have gone back to the Nozatec that now has updated maps and things on it, thanks to one of CM's members helping me

Must sort the leaks and then do another trip ... Sorry there are not many pictures but mostly it was too wet to take any ... but I got a few

It's quite a large campsite situated right next to the River Avon and within a reasonable walking distance to Stratford itself. There's also a water taxi available.

Their website address: Riverside Caravan Park

There's a new clubhouse complex for the 2013 season as well  .
