Contemplating replacing our 11 year old Elddis Autoquest (Noramai) with something newer, and quite like the look of the Roller Team T-Line 590, but my AWS workshop owner tells me that they are notoriously bad where leakage is concerned!! Is there anyone out there with personal experience of the brand or, preferably, this particular model, who could give me feedback based on personal experience??

      HoHi melv.
I have just sold my year 2000 ci carioca 10, which are made in the same factory as the roller team.
I had no problems whatsoever with it.

However I have seen a few newer CI's with high up brake lights at the back, all of which the wall was soft to touch and stained on the inside.
I would say they were all leaking water through that brake light.

Also. I'm slightly rambling on here but, we met a family in France on an aire a couple of years ago and they had a 7 berth transit roller team.
I think it was a 2013, he told me the story that shortly after buying it, he practically had to completely rebuild the nearside due to water ingress in the walls, behind both bunks and all down one side where the windows had leaked.
He ordered all the materials in from the factory in Italy and to be fair he did a good job, I'm sure he said it took him 3 months to do, including waiting for the materials to be sent over.

He told me the walls on the inside went all bumpy like they had been stippled with a paintbrush but harder and this was the early sign of the water ingress, so the chap said.

But then again he also said, well this happens to all motorhomes, nothing you can do about it!
To be fair he obviously loved the motorhome, but he was from Norfolk :(lol)

Spain is calling, but Italy and Croatia/Bulgaria have some appeal.... Any advice??

    Poor gas performance

As you all know, I'm a bit of a tit, well I have well and truly proved that now.

A few months ago we ran out of gas, so I went to change the bottle but realised it wasn't empty, re attached the regulator and it worked again, so I didn't think any more about it.
In the meantime my wife has mentioned a couple of times the fridge not being very cold and the oven not working great, but she thought it might be ok and she wasn't sure.
Again I didn't think too much about it because she is always moaning about something.

Anyway this week we used up the rest of the bottle and I changed it for a new one and guess what still no gas, but the bottle was empty this time and the new one was definitely full.

So I changed the regulator and tried again.
My God what an instant difference, the fridge gets twice as cold the dinner takes half the time to cook and the kettle boils twice as fast!
Obviously the old regulator was blocked and had been slowly getting worse and worse each time, so slowly we didn't really notice it even though the present Mrs Kirby did notice something.

The annoying thing is I always carry a spare regulator anyway, so it was in the cupboard waiting.

So the moral of this little tale is always pay attention to the gas performance, carry spares and most importantly listen to the wife, even if she isn't certain about something, occasionally she is right!

    • Hi lindyandbarry..... Camperpark Area 7 is near El Campello, which I'm sure you will know is just north of Alicante, and south of Benidorm! Details,Hi lindyandbarry..... Camperpark Area 7 is near El Campello, which I'm sure you will know is just north of Alicante, and south of Benidorm! Details, with coordinates, are featured in the CM motorhome stopovers Spain e-book, and can be found in the Valencia section under A for Area 7 rather than E for El Campello ( note to NEILMAC - might be worth cross-referencing with an alphabetical list of main towns, for people not fully conversant with the different areas of Spain, or indeed, any other country! Don't mean this as criticism, but the e-books are not exactly user-friendly to first-timers who may not be au fait with the names of the various regions, and the areas they cover!)
This aire has been open for a little over 12 months, as far as I can gather, and already seems to have a strong support base of regular visitors, all of whom, from what I can ascertain, have nothing but praise for the site and the way it is run by Juan, who couldn' t be more friendly and helpful to everyone ! We will definitely be using it again, and wholeheartedly recommend it!!

Now we have data on our phones and mifi so internet access is not so different to being at home..... unless there's no signal of course
