Having driven up from the Midlands on a Friday night we arrived at 9.30 pm.
Before we parked up I popped in to make sure it was ok to do so. We were told that it would be fine, food had finished but we could get a drink.
We parked up and I immediately went and purchased a couple of drinks. (a pint for me, the driver).
As we were about to settle in for the night there was a knock at the door. An Italian chap, who claimed to be the Manager, ordered us to leave, stating that "his insurance didn't cover Motorhomes for overnight stays". I explained to him that I had read the sign at the entrance to the car park stating that owners parked at their own risk. He said that it was in case our Motorhome caught fire. That is ridiculous, I said, but he was adamant that we leave, even though by now it was approaching 11 pm.
I then told him that I could not move has I had drunken Beer since arriving. He, arrogantly pointed out that it was just one pint and so by this stage, I simply told him where to stick it.
Fortunately, having driven away and turned right on the A149 we came across the Yurt Restaurant and Craft Centre, which has a huge, discreet car park and was deserted at this time of night.
We were lucky. It could have been a far more difficult job finding somewhere to stay at that time of night. Miserable sod.
