Help in planning

Hi All,
Posted following a few days ago in answer to winter travels and as per Neilmac's suggestion re submitting it.Thinking of arriving in UK jan / Feb '18 , 1 month setting up , 2 months UK / Scotland ?? thus the mail below about travelling in the cold.

Sorry to picky back on this subject but something that I have been worried about winter / cold start so thus Great to read positive winter talk. Planning our trip from warm climate , aiming to buy & set up in UK , Visit UK inc Scotland possibly Ireland & then onto Europe. Total estimated trip 1 year but will be flexible. Don't want to start on a bad winter experience and be put off. Please guys send some feed back for planning purposes. 1st UK then onto Europe / Eastern countries !! Best arrival time?? , buying , setting up ..... Routes recommended re UK / Europe at best times?? Realize that above very personal choices but would really appreciate all inputs to help towards our plans.

Lots more questions about vehicle size , technical hints , legal matters ,............ but only just starting the planning so will bother you guys about that hopefully in subsequent chats,
