I read that more people, together with their dogs, have been gassed and robbed in France. Although not wishing to over react, can anyone recommend a suitable gas detector/alarm?
It would seem that a few shillings spent now could save a lot of heartache later. I believe that the usual carbon monoxide detectors are not fit for this purpose.
Thanks in advance,Regards Brian & Jackie

Probably not, but the logistics and cost of putting enough of whatever-it-is into a space the size of our vans would make it unfeasible. Anaesthetic is applied via a mask directly onto a patients face. You would need huge quantities to fill a van to have the same effect.
And who is going to invest the huge amounts of money on this gas each time they want to fill a van on the off chance they might be able to steal a camera or phone or something?
I really wouldn't worry about gassing. Some of the stories may be spread by those wishing to sell gas alarms ;)
