No hot water on first setting on electric heating (as per pic). All seems fine on other settings.

The boiler is an Alde Compact 3000.

Are there any fuses for the different kw settings operated by the switch and if so where are they?

I can find YouTube stuff but any mention of fuses seem to relate to a different boiler (3010 and 3020)

Any ideas?

If it ain't broke..... Don't fix it!

Hi Neil,
I have no experience with Alde systems but I would hazard a guess that it is using two seperate elements and the switching works 1, then 2 then 1+2, say one is 1Kw 2 is 2Kw and 1+2 give 3KW. These are just notional figures to give an example. So if the 1Kw element has gone open circuit the 2Kw circuit will still work and when it is on the 3 Kw setting it will still appear to work albeit slower to reach temperature.

Can you gain access to the terminals and do a resistance reading to prove whether the elements are all OK or not, as I say I don't know this system but I doubt that you have more than one thermostat on the boiler (or themistors) so its less likely to be a duff stat....BUT I could be wrong........i'll get my coat
Cheers
Phil
