We will be visiting Greece in May and towards the end of May we wish to cross with van to Italy. We are planning to drive on to Sorrento, so thought a ferry to Bari might be a good option. Has anyone made such a crossing. I believe ferries are available from Patras and Igoumenitsa, as well as from Albania. I have also noted you can sleep overnight in an aircraft seat or pay more for a cabin.

Any recommendations and comments would we warmly welcomed.

I have assumed that at this time of the year we won't have to book in advance, but I may be wrong.

Cheers,
John

Thanks for your advice and recommendations Julie. It looks like an Igoumenitsa crossing will be the go. We'll try to visit Halkidiki Peninsula too.

Cheers,
John
