I enquired with my Dentist today, well the best you can with a mouth full of fingers. Whilst he no longer administers gas himself, he did receive training when it used to be permitted. His answer was "To fill an area the size of a van with the quantity of gas to knock out several adults any children in that area would receive a massive overdose which would probably be fatal for them. It would probably be fatal for all of them present if it was a quantity to keep them under for four or five hours given in one dose."
