During the summer I was having a sort out in the garage and came across a brand new inside insulating cover for an old Autocruise motorhome that had come with it. We had never used it as we already had one so the idea formulated of trying to make use of it in our current van on the habitation windows as a layer in between the outer plastic window and the sliding blind.
I made a pattern from a large cardboard box and unpicked the edging on the large piece. Our sewing machine is a bit ancient like me but over a few evenings I managed to make a complete set for the two bedroom windows the kitchen and dining table window and the habitation door.
We have just returned from our Christmas Market trip to Germany and boy were they good in the sub zero temperatures in Germany last week. So don't sling those old blinds get busy with the sewing machine and make something that will keep you snug and warm on winter trips.
