Now you may think I am daft but I don’t put cheap (supermarket) diesel in the tank (2002 Fiat 2.8 TJD). Yes I know the engine is old and has clocked 90 plus k but I am convinced that I get a better MPG (and save money) from the premium brands as well as their premium grades. I don’t think this is wishful thinking as I have been monitoring this for many years by filling the tank right to the top and checking the mileage over various conditions terrain, wind condition, load etc. I think the reason is that I don’t change down through the gears as much when overtaking or climbing hills because the premium brands give me more power. Does anybody else put premium fuel in their camper or am I just kidding myself that I am doing the right thing?

Spinner

:D
