Having coveted most of France we are now planning a trip to Spain in Feb/Mar, heading down as far as Almeria, has anyone got any recommendations for sites say between Valencia & Almeria & maybe something for an overnight stop between Barcelona & Valencia. Also is it necessary to book a site in advance?

I can't recommend any sites as we mostly use the Aires from the Club Motorhome Directory. However, Feb/ March I would say don't worry about booking. There are plenty of posts on this site about travelling in Spain under 'Continental Touring' and if you were looking for anything specific then Neil is the 'Man' as he has a wealth of knowledge and experience of the country.
Sitges, 20 kilometres south of Barcelona, is well worth a visit if that fits with your plans.
What will amaze you is the high quality of the roads and the ease of driving.
If you are still there in April we may bump in to each other.
