we were members of ADAC for years.They are very efficient and polite
unfortunately their UK partner is AA and last year we had a Uk breakdown
took the AA 24 hours 3 different vans and awful demands like send an email ( when youre broken down!) to authorize a private tow ( ADAC will only pay so much tow to nearest garage - we were further away by not much to our own garage)
I set up a Flexplus account with Nationwide for £10 a month which gives unlimited breakdown abroad with Brittannia also travel insurance including for skiing which suits us for the same price as ADAC PLus
