Hi - we live in Sheffield so are very fortunate to be close to the Peak District. We enjoy hill walking and are out there most weekends. (Week days when its the school holidays). We have a general knowledge of walks - low mid and high level mainly around the Castleton/Hope/Edale/Derwent areas so if we can assist in any way to any newcomers to the area please let us know.

Also if anyone has any knowledge of good walks from campsites or cl's let us know - we (I) particularly enjoy coastal walks.

I have never done any "real" walking as i call it but do hope to in the not too distant future. I am a member of the ramblers but hardly ever get to join them and if i am honest i prefer to walk alone or with one or two friends rather than a large group of relative strangers. I have done some local stuff mostly ambling rather than rambling ha ha. The peak district is not too far away and i will definately call on you for some advice regarding suitable places for a lady, on her own, to stay. Thanks for the offer. regards hilary
