I have just joined the club having come back to motor caravanning after 40 years and the AA seem to be saying they will not cover me because the 'van has an onboard gas tank.
Anyone able to confirm this and if true any companies which could be recommended would be useful, I particularly look forward to touring the north west highlands of Scotland and breakdown/recovery cover would be useful.

We have had onboard LPG tanks for domestic use not the engine on our last four vans and never been asked if we had LPG tank. Really the bottles are tanks by any other name so I can only think that they fear the unknown for those vehicles who use LPG to fuel the engine.
