    Brass Band weekend street event Amboise

    Brass bands from all over Europe (that still includes us) converge on Amboise and march through the streets pausing to play at places throughout the town. Play a number and march off. Next ones do the same

    Brass bands from all over Europe (that still includes us) converge on Amboise and march through the streets pausing to play at places throughout the town. Play a number and march off. Next ones do the same
    It takes place over the first weekend in June 2nd to 4th and the town also hosts a large street market.
    The municipal campsite opens for bookings on 13th March and is usually slightly more expensive than the adjoining aire.
    Short walk into the town and full facilities at the municipal
    Nice place to meet up with old and new friends/members

    Finally got away, made it to Exmouth at midnight, fewer motorhomes than usual parked up, but still no change to the overnight parking.
    Tides in but it's dark!

      360 miles in 1 day, I dream of that, my kids are usually thumping each other and in tears after 60 miles, so I'm forever stopping!

It's far better than the stuff turned out by St Austell brewery! Unless, of course, you are lucky enough to find somewhere still selling St Austell Brewery's HSD (aka HighSpeedDiesel) on draught!! Few and far between nowadays, and more likely to be on sale in bottles, but if you can find the genuine article well-kept on draught, it takes a lot of beating, in my humble opinion!!! The bottled version isn't bad, and can be found on the shelves in Tesco and the like, but the draught, for me, is as good a real ale as you could wish for... Maybe it could be a discussion topic for the forums...... Best real ale pub stopovers??  More ...

    South West meet up Easter/April 2018

    Hi all, we are going to be in the South West over the Easter weekend and the week after.
    We will be stopping in Exmouth for a night or two, then heading down to Praa sands in Cornwall.
    I know loads of car parks and good pubstops in the area, so if you fancy meeting up between those dates, let ...

    I have a new paddleboard to try out, so there may be daytime entertainment for those who watch my first go!

    I'm looking to stay in Exmouth next Friday night. I have asked the council and the local newspaper if they want to meet me and do an interview for a motorhome owners point of view of the parking situation.

    Just been to Sennen cove, £3.50 for overnight in the harbour carpark, with no restrictions.
    Didn't stay but 3 other motorhomes are.
