We make no apology for featuring the other countries in Europe at least as much as we do the UK, simply because those countries are generally much more motorhome friendly!
Over many years we have built up a substantial listing of Aires and other stopovers entailing literally hundreds of nights motorhoming and many thousands of kilometres seeking them out. During these years we have spent a lot more time travelling and researching stopovers (Aires) and it always delights us just how perfect France is for motorhomes. We would really like to encourage other motorhomers to visit and experience this for themselves especially as the weather can be (and has been) so dire in the UK.
The thing I find when comparing the UK to France in motorhome travelling / parking terms is the way France are so much more accommodating to us, they obviously see the finance side to economies of regions by us being there, BUT they do not take the mick, they look after the traveller, there is alwa......
We are also returning to France in September after a lovely time spent on Aires in June around the Dordogne area...
Hi Tommy, we haven't used it ourselves but there is some free motorhome parking in Caen N49.199348, W0.385730 You might want to post your question on our forums :-)...
Our motorhome stopover listings just got even better!
Following the success and popularity of our UK Pub Stopover listings we have been campaigning hard to add more locations.
We now include other interesting motorhome friendly stopover locations to increase the appeal to those who don't just want to stopover at pubs. These include vineyards, breweries, farm shops, craft centres and more.
Following an excellent response from publicans and other business owners we have been able to add some new UK Pub Stopovers to our directory of motorhome stopover locations...... and have increased our coverage to include 2 more counties in England - Bedfordshire and Herefordshire and we're delighted to list our first pub in Scotland, in The Trossachs.
Access to our UK Pub Stopover directory is included in the £20 subscription to Club Motorhome. So with over 300 pubs and other interesting stopover locations listed together with their GPS co-ordinates, addresses, phone numbers and Google Maps (including Google Streetview where available) this is incredible value! If you are used to paying campsite prices you will save your subscription to Club Motorhome many times over for overnight stays around the UK.
We listen to your comments!
Following member feedback we have revised the way our UK Pub Stopovers are displayed. The map showing the counties that we have pubs listed in can be viewed by clicking here.
To make route planning easier we have incorporated Google Maps to show the pubs' locations within their counties and this is shown below each list of motorhome friendly pubs.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR USERS OF INTERNET EXPLORER!
If the maps do not display for you it is likely to be an Internet Explorer problem - the fixes can be found here - Internet Explorer/ Google Maps Issues
Each pub now has a link, in the list and on the map, to its own page with a more detailed Google Map and Google Street View where available.
This all means that subscribing Club Motorhome members can check, in advance, the location and even what the pub and car park looks like from the comfort of their computer.
As an example of the information we display we have made the Pub Stopovers in Lincolnshire available for guests to view. All the other counties require subscription to Club Motorhome to view in detail, you'll find them under 'Travel' in the 'Magazine' section of the main menu.
If you are not already a subscriber - its easy to register and subscribe in order to take full advantage of this facility - just complete the details on our registration form.
If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser then this thread in our forums will give you some options which have worked for others with the same issue - title 'Using Internet Exporer?' in Website help and Feedback.

Hope this sorts it for you....
